Camp Givah offers a comprehensive Red Cross swimming experience. Campers participate in swimming instruction based on their swimming level, which is ascertained the first day the camper is in attendance. Campers receive individualized reports of their progress in the pool at our weekly Oneg Shabbat celebrations. In the afternoons, campers enjoy a leisurely free swim period with their friends and counselors. At least once per week (and more if campers sign up for the boating elective), campers embark on a canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating adventure.
In keeping with a wholesome, safe environment, we encourage all campers to wear well-fitted, appropriate clothes, shoes and swim wear. Camp is a very active environment. No cutoffs shorts are allowed in the pool. Swimsuits should be secure, and, if shirts are worn during swimming, they should be dry fit.
