Gesher (Bridge) Program
Gesher is a unique cultural exchange initiative that connects Camp Givah with the Eshkol region of Israel through the Partnership2Gether Global Network (רשת השותפויות העולמית) of the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Launched in the summer of 2024, the Gesher – Eshkol Partnership began as a collaboration between Temple Israel's Camp Givah, the Jewish Agency, the Eshkol community with the support of  Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York. Now in its second year, the program continues to grow into a powerful and strong bridge between Israeli and American youth.

A Growing Circle of Connection
  • This summer, we proudly welcome back five Israeli teens from Eshkol—former campers who are now returning as madrichim (counselors).
  • We are also excited to host a 10-day delegation of 16 Israeli teens, joining Camp Givah as campers with the goal of returning in future summers as counselors themselves.
  • Each summer strengthens the circle: from camper to counselor, building leadership, friendship, and deep bonds across cultures.

Made Possible By Our Community This bridge is only possible because of you. The success of the Gesher program relies on:
  • Financial support from generous donors
  • Host families who open their homes and hearts
  • Resources shared by our Camp Givah and Temple Israel communities

Your involvement helps us grow the next generation of Jewish leaders—locally and globally.
