Community service trips - tuesday july 17th 2018

We would like to thank our bus company “Brown” for supplying this field trip bus day.
Please have your child wear his/her Camp Givah shirt.  Campers will be picked up at their normal bus stops, but will be brought to Temple Israel.  Campers who are normally brought to Temple Israel may be dropped off as early as usual and as late as 9:00am.  After morning tefillot (prayers), the campers will travel to various sites within the Capital Region for a morning of meaningful and fun community service work and will then be rewarded for their good work with recreational activities.
The Gan/1-2 will visit the elderly at the Massry Residence.
The campers in grades 3-10 will volunteer at the Shalom Food Pantry.
In the afternoon Gan/1-2 will head to the Palace to see"Ferdinand" (change in movie) while the older kids will take on Albany Indoor Rock Gym for climbing/spelunking.
Campers visiting the Rock Gym (3-10) will need to submit a waiver in advance, which can be found here! Please make sure to submit the waiver by Friday 7/13.
Campers will be brought back to Temple Israel at 3:30 pm. Parents whose children get picked up at TI may pick up at any time between 3:30pm and 4:20pm.
There will be regular afternoon buses being offered for all stops. Please let us know if your child will be  dropped off or picked up at an alternate stop.
